Od proizvodnje hormona do varenja hrane, na\u0161a tela koriste holesterol za mnoge svakodnevne telesne funkcije. Na\u0161 organizam sam proizvede \u010dak <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/john-berardi-phd\/egss-and-health_b_3499583.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">1-2 grama holesterola<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Holesterol se onda transportuje kroz telo u \u201emalim paketi\u0107ima\u201c koji se nazivaju <a href=\"http:\/\/sr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lipoprotein\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">lipoproteini<\/a>. Verovatno ste do sada \u010duli za lipoproteine jer su povezani sa \u201edobrim\u201c i \u201elo\u0161im\u201c holesterolom.<\/p>\n<p>U su\u0161tini postoje dva tipa lipoproteina u na\u0161em organizmu: lipoproteini sa manjom gustinom poznati kao LDL (Low Densiti Lipoproteins) i lipoproteini sa ve\u0107om gustinom poznati kao HDL (High Density Lipoproteins). LDL se smatra \u201elo\u0161im\u201c jer <strong>povi\u0161en nivo<\/strong> mo\u017ee da dovede do talo\u017eenja plaka u arterijama. Naslage plaka ometaju protok krvi iz srca, \u0161to mo\u017ee da rezultira <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nhlbi.nih.gov\/health\/health-topics\/topics\/hbc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">nastankom sr\u010danih oboljenja<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>HDL lipoprotein se smatra \u201edobrim\u201c zbog \u010dinjenice da funkcioni\u0161u kao mali kuriri jer transportuju holesterol iz raznih delova tela do jetre, gde se tada uklanjaju.<\/p>\n<p>Najve\u0107a briga je vezana postojanje vi\u0161ka holesterola u organizmu.<\/p>\n<p>Kada konzumirate hranu koja ima visok nivo holesterola, telo <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/john-berardi-phd\/egss-and-health_b_3499583.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">automatski proizvodi manje holesterola<\/a> kako bi izbalansiralo ukupan nivo.
